MG Hypnosis - Help with Fear of Injections

Fear of injections is a common phobia – specially now. Today I offer tips on how to help overcome your fear. This is my own personal video of my first Covid vaccination.

I tell you things you can do to make the whole experience more pleasant. This is for all ages and applies to injections, giving blood, and fear of needles. You can do it! You’ve got this.

The NHS staff make the whole process smooth, quick, calming, and literally painless. They are SO good!

2nd of 3 BIG EVENTS POST - Kitchen Extension

The second big event was a kitchen extension, which I have wanted to do for the last 10 years.  I was always frightened by the cost and disruption.  Part of it was practical, and part was my own fearful imagination about, “how am I going to cope with no kitchen, the expense, and all the chaos?!”.

One of my mentors for hypnotherapy asked me, “How did you manage to get through other difficult times in your life?”.  The answer is simple, and applies to all of us, “I just found a way and did it”.  You will always find a way and sometimes it is our own determination, and other times, it is with the help of others.  Anyway, I did manage it and I had lots of supporters.

My builder was excellent.  Not only in his work, but payment schedule.  Barclay’s “lost” a transfer of money from my US account to help pay for it, and even though I had savings to draw on, the money was missing for 6 weeks! I kept my builder informed, and he really wasn’t bothered as he could see that I was doing everything possible to get Barclays to find my missing money (which is now with the Financial Ombudsman, and it finally arrived in the final week of the works finishing.

My neighbours helped us out with using their washing machines (can you imagine to have the privilege to live on a street where I was able to take my laundry to 7 different houses in rotation – plus one neighbour went on holiday for a week and gave me the keys to their house.  AND the other nice thing is I had offers from another 5 neighbours!).  They didn’t just let me use their machines – they folded the laundry when it was finished.

Besides doing laundry, we were offered meals.  We had several Sunday lunches at friends and neighbours houses.  We are truly blessed.

So, don’t be afraid of the challenge.  You will always find a way.  I promise.

Streetwise Opera - Turning Point production

You must watch this film if you ever dared to follow through with your dream.  This man, whom I am honoured to also call my friend and neighbour, started Streetwise Opera after over coming his own fears and followed his instinct to make this happen.  Really inspiring and moving.  Please watch - it is 30 minutes you won't regret.  Marygrace

Deepak Chopra Super Gene

We went to see Deepak Chopra speak this past weekend on his new book Super Gene's. He was amazing, inspirational, thought provoking, and mesmerising.

He also has a great sense of humour and was able to explain highly complicated scientific information and relate it to everyday life.

I wanted to share two of the activities he had us do. The first was to sit with your eyes closed and have someone ask you over and over, "who are you" until you reached a point of no response. Then they asked (again over and over) "what do you want". Both are very moving and I think you will be surprised at your answers by doing this(even by yourself). I believe this exercise, you will find the answers you give will be heartfelt.

The second, was when you are faced with a fear, problem or argument, you should: stop and pause, take 3 deep breaths, smile, observe from your prospective, the other persons perspective, other peoples perspectives who are affected, and then proceed. It will change your habit of just doing what you have always done. This is true for any habit you want to change.

But don't just take my word for it. Go and see him live next time he is in London.
