MG Hypnosis - Bore U 2 Sleep - 3 Places

Today I am honoured to Bore U 2 sleep with stories about quiet places, calming places, peaceful places.  Three different experiences, each one unique, special and serene.

We all have places we’ve experienced before where we had that amazing feeling or experience of feeling so connected with a special place and for some it could be a mountain top or meadow or beach, and for others a church or holy shrine, or even going back to a place from when you once lived.

I want to bore you to sleep telling you about my 3 calming places.

So, as always - listen - but don’t listen, as you fall asleep.

I hope you enjoy being “bored to sleep” with me.  Sweet dreams.

Please “like” this video if you think others will find it helpful.

MG Hypnosis - Memories of Relaxation

Just a quick video to remind you of memories where you felt very relaxed.  A place or an activity that you found relaxing and just taking a moment to reconnect with that feeling.  No one wanting or needing anything from you for just 10 minutes, while you just recall a relaxing time in your life.

This is just a quick “me” moment to stop and reflect.  Enjoy!

Good night, sleep well, and sweet dreams…

I let the music play on for a few minutes after I finish for you to drift off to sleep…

MG Hypnosis - Guided Sleep - Journey of Self Discovery

***DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS WHILE OPERATING A MOVING VEHICLE OR
WHERE YOUR FULL ATTENTION IS REQUIRED FOR SAFETY***

Today I am “boring you to sleep” with a Journey of Self-discover.  It is something you can listen to whilst falling asleep WITHOUT really having to listen to the story.  It’s a nice journey, but if you fall asleep, your subconscious mind will still be listening.  It’s designed just to help you fall asleep without worrying about the things that are keeping you awake.

((You can also use this recording for reflection on self-awareness))

Enjoy, sweet dreams, sleep well….

Stay calm people – A stress free Christmas tip!

Imagine if you could go though a day in slow motion.  Life would be so much calmer.  You wouldn’t have that sense of rushing to get everything done before the 25th December.  You will also have more patience with others.

Even on Christmas Eve and day, when relatives can be hard to handle, pause before you speak so you don’t say anything you will regret later.

So when you get that feeling of being stressed out, just think “go slow”, and it will go away and you will find that everything will get done – but without the anxiety.

Hypnotherapy and stress update

People die from stress all the time.  Diabetes, heart attacks, etc…

The clinical value of hypnosis has been well documented in the book 21st Century Medicine: Clinical Evidence For the Healing Power of The Mind.  Most of our clients prefer to approach their health using natural methods, which can be applied to most illnesses related to stress, including diet, exercise, and better food choices.

Relaxation for example has been proven to drop a diabetic’s long term blood sugar level just about as much as a diabetes drug.  And we all know the drugs are expensive and sometimes the side effects are worse and unnecessary in a lot of cases.  Dr. Richard Surwit of Duke University did a study on 108 type II diabetics.  All they did was listen to 20 minute relaxation sessions 3 times a week!  Hypnotherapy is all about relaxation but also more powerful.

Here are more remedies you can immediately do to reduce stress:

  1. Remember to take 6 deep breaths (this takes one minute) whenever you “feel” the stress or anxiety coming on.  Breathing stops stress in its track and then just think about something that makes you smile.
  2. Be aware of energy vampires.  They take your energy and use it for themselves to deal with their own stress or try to pass it on to you.  Walk away or put up a protective bubble!
  3. Learn from example.  Who do you know who is “cool under pressure”?  Follow their example.  For every situation you can handle it calmly or stressed out.  Simple choice.  Choose calm!
  4. Take breaks.  When you feel stressed or anxious, just walk away for 5 minutes to clear your head.  Even in a meeting, excuse yourself for a moment and give yourself positive self talk.
  5. Think positive, calm thoughts.  “I love being calm and relaxed”.  Say it 10 times and you will feel it.
  6. Exercise – so simple.  Go for a walk and it’s free!

Hypnosis can also do things that the drugs cannot.  Doctors at the University of Minnesota have talked about how hypnotherapy can help increase self-control and positively regulate behaviour.

We need to pay attention to the research and give patients a choice and the power to choose how they want to receive treatment.  It's 2013!  Let’s start educating ourselves on treatments.

Christmas stress and relaxation tips

Christmas does not have to be stressful, shopping does not have to be stressful, being with family and in-laws does not have to be stressful, NO EVENT has to be stressful!  It is the emotion we attach to the event that makes things seem stressful.  Before the event we start thinking about "what ifs" and usually it is about something going wrong.

You may have the person at the party who gets drunk and it is harder to control but you can even do little things to control it.  Make weaker drinks, get low alcohol beers/wine, and have a designated driver arranged to take them home.  Or it could be the difficult relative that always starts arguments.  Keep the conversation on light topics or ones you don't particularly care about, or excuse yourself to use the loo to break the state of aggression building.

TIPS:  Before the event, think about it all going well.  Keep your mood up with Christmas music and naming 10 things you are grateful for about the event before it happens.  Focus on the positive side and remember to breath 6 times deeply to calm you back to a neutral  place.  Remember, thinks seem worse in our minds so ask yourself "is this really that bad" and "what can I do to improve things immediately" and let your creative side go wild.  NO NOT drink excessively or allow yourself to react in negative, self destructive ways like over eating or smoking.  It is not worth it and you are the only one who suffers as a result.

Enjoy the season and relax!
