We know that our brains are like muscles and we have to keep using and challenging them to increase our memories and recall. People who take classes, do word games, read, etc. will have their wits about them longer than those who don't. The nice thing is today you can learn something new for free, take a day class, trade out services (like learning a new language) on places like Gumtree, or join a club or volunteer. Again, just do it and you will reap the rewards as time goes by. So what are you waiting for? Do it today. Take action. Always take action to move yourself forward!
Personally I'm on a fitness challenge and having my iPad teach me how to play Chess. It's fun and easy.
Enjoy!

Hot Yoga & Yoga Mama
I am on my way to better fitness thanks to House of Yoga on the Upper Richmond Road. They offer Hot Yoga and it is a combination of muscle toning and cardio so I love the combination. The instructors are all experienced and you can really attend any class and do the positions which suit your level best. I am slowly building holding my poses and stretches and you feel great after an hour of doing it. If you hate sweating in a hot room this isn't for you, but you truly feel fantastic after the class!

If you prefer the more traditional yoga class, where you get the same workout without the heated room, you can't beat Yoga Mama at The Putney Clinic of Physical Therapy. Anyone who has attended one of Cherie's classes, knows she is the best in Putney. http://www.yogamama.co.uk/
Good health.

NCT Event
I highly recommend this to new parents. I see lot's of new mothers who find the life change of having a new baby overwhelming from lack of sleep or recovery from a difficult birth. I always encourage new mums to find a supportive mum group and walk away from anyone who makes you feel your not doing a great job as a new mother.
The NCT summer event (The Big Push and Cheeky Monkey Tea Party) is one way to meet like minded people.
Their event is to raise money for post natal depression and isolation in new parents - this is such a worthy cause and a great family fun event.
Pushing to combat isolation in new parents
Bring your friends and family, grab your pushchairs and clip on your slings to help NCT Putney-Fulham raise vital funds to support new mums and dads.
